Artistic Style
The most delightful part of my artistic process is expressing my inner world of quirky characters and critters within imaginative landscapes. I invite you to enter into my flights of fancy.
Many times, I combine words with art using a mixed-media process. I initially use traditional art tools such as ink pens, colored-pencils and artist's markers. I then blend that art with contemporary tools such as graphic design software.
Most days you will find me with a pen and paper, either writing or sketching. My designs come from studying nature and people, and then stylizing them. My favorite artistic inspirations come from artists such as Franz Marc, Vincent Van Gogh as well as illustrators such as Flavia, and John Tenniel.
I love my daily cup of tea along with a crusty scone or tart. I have a cozy corner in my home called the Bohemian Quarters where I release my imagination.
I bring my small notebook with me everywhere I tread as to capture poetic moments. A good conversation with a chum can send me to the drawing board, as well as a favorite podcast. I find beauty in my garden and through interior design magazines, as well as picture framing projects.

Biography
I began my creative journey by designing cartoon greeting cards for my cousins' birthday parties at a wee age. I still continue that form of relational bonding with loved ones.
I attended college to become an illustrator, yet after graduation my path led to editorial cartooning, communications & marketing, face painting, and picture framing and again back to illustration.
Constant journaling has surprisingly led me to become a writer and editor.
All of these facets of creativity merge to form my current artistic style and inspiration. To view my writing click on the buttons below.
